Analysis of the management challenges presented by the gender-sex diversity policy at the River Plate University Institute
Abstract
This work is framed within the need to analyze the management challenges of the sex-gender diversity policy, supported by the advances with a gender perspective that are being carried out at the River Plate University Institute. This process began with the generation of the gender work commission, at a key moment of growth and expansion. Since 2020, it has been working on the construction of gender policies and strategically has the necessary inputs for the transversal and intersectional approach to the problems of sex-gender diversity in the academic community.
This research presents a qualitative, descriptive and interpretative methodological design. Cross-section of the academic reality at the IURP in 2022-23, where through interviews we sought to deepen the progress towards the deconstruction of institutionalized and perpetuated thought matrices in the patriarchal social apparatus.
The management challenges respond to the need for the development of a greater institutional solidity and commitment on the part of the entire academic community. This is based on epistemic deconstruction in the face of the matrices of what has already been socially acquired within a rigid patriarchal system. Breaking the barriers of social preconceptions from a gender perspective, leaving the sex-gender binarism male-female, is one of the biggest challenges in the implementation of policies that can promote institutional change towards quality, egalitarian and sustainable education.
