Sustainable development goals and teaching at the National University of Moreno
Abstract
Teaching activities undertaken by universities can contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These activities can enhance knowledge and capacity development, providing students and university staff with the skills and attitudes needed to address the complex Sustainable Development challenges articulated in the 2030 Agenda.
Addressing the SDGs requires that teaching activities incorporate these concepts into teaching and learning
processes, and discuss the interactions between the different goals and their targets.
The National University of Moreno (UNM) included in its Strategic Guidelines for Scientific Research and Technological Development for the period 2022/2027, the 17 SDGs as an essential framework for the orientation of the university's research and development activities.
In order to design strategies that support the implementation of the SDGs, it is necessary to know the current situation.
Therefore, this paper presents the results of the diagnosis carried out at UNM as part of the research project
«Sustainable Development Goals at the UNM: diagnosis, awareness and prospective», regarding teaching in relation to the SDGs, in order to propose lines of action.
