The current investigation, named Prospective of the University according to educational, social and business leaders. The role of distance education in possible future university scenarios, was made in Buenos Aires, Argentina, along years 2023 and 2024. It sought to answer the questions Which is the university’s function? What possible and future scenarios will be pertinent and adequate for training successful people in both labor market and social development? Which role will the distance education play in those possible futures?
This was investigated under a qualitative focusing, an inductive method suitable for Grounded Theory. The used technique was the open questions interview to business, social, and educational leaders. The obtained data was analyzed with the software Atlas.ti, achieving clusters of vocational training, flexibility, entailment with business world, and blended learning as the most highlighted. There was an evident homogeneity in most of the answers, despite the leadership area of each interviewee. The referred background has yielded similar results to those here written.
